Tab Activity Shield collects ZERO personal data. We don't track your browsing, we don't collect analytics, and we don't send any information to external servers. Your privacy is absolute.

This Privacy Policy describes how Tab Activity Shield ("we", "our", or "the Extension") handles information in relation to your use of our Chrome browser extension.
Tab Activity Shield is designed with privacy as a core principle. The Extension operates entirely locally within your browser and does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information.

We collect ZERO data. Period.
Tab Activity Shield does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:

3. How the Extension Works
Tab Activity Shield operates entirely within your local browser environment:
- Local Storage Only: Your extension settings (enabled/disabled state, per-site preferences) are stored locally using Chrome's storage API. This data never leaves your device.
- No External Servers: The Extension does not connect to any external servers, APIs, or services.
- No Network Requests: We do not make any HTTP/HTTPS requests to collect data or send telemetry.
- Page-Level Operation: The Extension modifies browser APIs locally to prevent tab detection. All modifications happen in your browser's memory only.
4. Permissions Explanation
Tab Activity Shield requests the following Chrome permissions:
• scripting
Required to inject protection scripts into web pages. This happens locally and does not transmit any data.
• storage
Used to save your extension preferences (global enable/disable, per-site settings) locally on your device only.
• tabs
Allows the Extension to detect when you navigate to a new page to apply protection. No tab data is collected or transmitted.
• webNavigation
Used to inject protection scripts at the earliest possible moment (document_start) for maximum effectiveness. No navigation data is logged or sent.
• Host Permission: <all_urls>
Necessary to apply protection across all websites you visit. This does NOT grant us access to your data—it only allows the Extension to modify browser behavior locally.
5. Third-Party Services
We do not use any third-party services, analytics providers, or tracking tools.
The Extension does not integrate with:
- Google Analytics or any other analytics platforms
- Advertising networks or trackers
- Social media platforms
- Cloud storage or backup services
- Any external APIs or web services
6. Data Security
Since we collect zero data, there is no data to secure, breach, or compromise. Your extension settings are stored locally using Chrome's secure storage API, which is encrypted and protected by your browser.
Security Measures:
- All code runs locally in your browser
- No external network connections
- Open-source and auditable code
- Manifest V3 compliant (latest Chrome security standards)
7. Data Sharing and Transfers
We do not share, sell, rent, or transfer any data because we do not collect any data.
Your privacy is absolute. No data ever leaves your device.
8. Children's Privacy
Tab Activity Shield does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The Extension is safe for users of all ages because it operates entirely locally and collects zero data.
9. Google Limited Use Policy Compliance
Tab Activity Shield's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Specifically:
- We do not transfer any data to third parties
- We do not use data for purposes unrelated to the Extension's core functionality
- We do not use data for personalized advertising
- We do not use or transfer data to determine creditworthiness or for lending purposes
10. Your Rights
Since we collect no data, there is no personal information to access, modify, or delete. You maintain complete control over the Extension:
- Control: Enable or disable the Extension at any time through Chrome's extension settings
- Settings: Your locally stored preferences can be cleared by uninstalling the Extension
- Transparency: You can inspect the Extension's source code to verify our privacy claims
